Casentino Valley is located north of Arezzo and offers a wide range of wonders. From the natural beauty of its landscapes to the medieval villages that captivate at first glance, the beautiful Casentino will surely enchant you. The Casentino Forests National Park is one of the largest green spaces in Tuscany and is home to exceptional centuries-old chestnut trees. The Casentino is a fascinating region, imbued with myths and customs, so deep that it’s complicated to summarize briefly. In Casentino, you will have an extremely interesting perspective on the Tuscan past, on the medieval and Renaissance years, linked to the disputes between the local Lords before the birth of the Grand Duchy.
